Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council seeks an organised, caring After School Club Leader for Dropmore Infant School to run the Den after-school provision. You will supervise, plan activities, provide healthy snacks and liaise with parents while handling light administration.

The role is term-time, part-time and casual, with pay under Bucks Pay and a rate of £15.12/hour. You will ensure safety, inclusivity, and smooth daily operations within a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a childcare setting with positive relationships to children.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene in the workplace.
• NVQ Level 2 in childcare or equivalent qualifications.
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
• Safeguarding Awareness experience and certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and monitor safe, creative activities in a caring environment.
• Provide direction and support to wraparound staff.
• Set up spaces and ensure equipment is tidied away safely.
• Safeguard all children per policy and procedures.
• Oversee arrival, registration and dismissal of children.
• Prepare and serve light snacks with hygiene in mind.
• Supervise children to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Engage with children to support learning and wellbeing.
• Address individual needs including dietary or medical requirements.
• Support play activities and encourage participation and respect.
• Maintain attendance records and assist with administration.
• Uphold high standards of attendance, punctuality and confidentiality.
