A local educational institution in Solihull is seeking a passionate Teaching and Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will support pupils with SEMH needs, both in class and in a specialized nurturing environment. The role includes small group support, interventions, and lunchtime assistance. Applicants are required to have strong literacy and numeracy skills and an NVQ level 3 or equivalent. This is a term-time position with competitive salary and training opportunities.

Term time only including school INSET days
8:40am – 3:40pm, Monday – Friday, including lunch duty.
Salary Band C (£26,824 – £29,540 pro rata)

We are seeking a Teaching and Learning Support Assistant with specific skills in supporting pupils SEMH needs to join our newly established Nurture Team. You will be required to support pupils both in class and in our specific nurture area enabling them to access learning and develop strategies to manage their emotions. The post will also include small group support, intervention, and daily lunchtime support for pupils. The successful candidate will be working under the supervision of our Pastoral Manager and teaching staff, as well as on their own initiative.
Applicants should have strong Literacy and Numeracy skills, experience in supporting pupils with additional SEMH needs, a flexible approach to working, a sense of humour and a kind and understanding nature. NVQ level 3 or equivalent is essential. Please note as part of our recruitment process you must provide all essential criteria certificates for qualifications.
