Would you like to support children’s emotional wellbeing and helping them thrive in a nurturing environment?

We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Nurture Support Assistant to join our dedicated team.

About the Role

As a Nurture Support Assistant, you will work closely with children who may need additional emotional or social support to access learning. You’ll be part of a small team delivering targeted interventions, supporting pupils in our nurture group, and helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive atmosphere across the school.

Location: Ramsbottom
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: Monday 1st December 2025

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of nurture group sessions and individual interventions
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and valued
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Contribute to a warm, welcoming and inclusive school culture
We’re Looking For Someone Who
  • Has experience working with children, ideally in an educational or care setting
  • Understands the principles of nurture and child development
  • Is empathetic, resilient and able to build strong relationships
  • Can work flexibly and respond calmly to challenging situations
  • Holds relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning – desirable but not essential)
