A community healthcare organization in the UK is looking for an experienced Nursing Team Manager to lead their team in providing end-of-life care. Responsibilities include managing team performance, ensuring compliance with CQC, and conducting training. A Registered Nurse with strong managerial skills and experience in end-of-life care is required. Flexible working hours and remote working options are available.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to lead our Nursing Team. Our Nursing Team provides free end of life care to patients within our local community. The role is a managerial role requiring strong leadership, managerial skills, community values, end of life care experience and administrative qualities. The Nursing Team Manager must also be the CQC Registered Manager for the service.
You will be required to work from home. We offer a flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the individual and the service.

We support the care and wellbeing of people who live in Fairford, Lechlade and the surrounding villages in Gloucestershire through a variety of services including home nursing, palliative home nursing, patient transport services, bereavement café and lunch club for the isolated and elderly in the community.
To be the Registered Named Manager with the Care Quality Commission. Maintain manager's awareness of requirements and processes of CQC, ensure safe storage of documentation, take part in CQC inspections, including preparation and PIR information, and take responsibility to report notifiable events to CQC.
Effectively and efficiently manage the running of the Nursing Team with the aim of always maintaining the highest standards and quality of our service. Responsible for clear, concise and informative communication throughout the Nursing Team. Develop, support and supervise Nursing Team members to ensure high standards are provided at all times, monitor practice and identify areas of good practice, as well as areas in need of development.
Chair and prepare the agenda, and any other relevant papers, for Nursing Team meetings. Organise a rota for the Nursing Team phone, to ensure cover is maximised. Work closely with Nursing Team Coordinators to ensure they are supported.
Promote good practice and encourage Nurses to be proactive with their training. Responsible for staff staying up to date with all mandatory training requirements. Conduct appraisals and follow up on training needs, monitoring Nursing Team performance and practice.
Responsible for distributing, updating, collating, filling and archiving notes, including care plans and nurses' files, ensuring documentation is stored for the appropriate timescale. Ensure compliance for all policies and procedures, relevant documentation and administrative tasks are adhered to and reviewed in the required time frame. Conduct audits throughout the Nursing Team, acting on results, noting trends.
Ensure all clinical incidents and problems are well documented, followed up and concluded. Raise any safeguarding issues with appropriate people: www.friendsoffairford.org.uk.
Ensure a high level of care is delivered through our service and maintain a good understanding of our patients and hands‑on nursing requirements by making joint visits with nursing team members.
Recruit the necessary number of nursing team staff. Deliver an induction programme and necessary training for all staff, providing supervision and support to ensure they are able, confident and proficient to perform their role to the best of their ability.
Maintain the upkeep of Nursing Team storage facilities, including monitoring and ordering equipment and disposal of unwanted goods.
Communicate with General Manager, triage patient numbers, staffing and engagement. Liaise with relevant local or national organisations and Service providers to share best practice. Provide quarterly data to the ICB and attend quarterly meetings.
Attend the Charity's AGM to deliver a prepared report on behalf of the Nursing Team. Attend all training courses and meetings as directed. Represent the Charity as an active, community organisation, ensuring actions and decisions reinforce the charity's core purpose. Promote the Charity's fundraisers and initiatives.
Undertake any other appropriate and reasonable task within the scope of the job as directed by the Board of Trustees via the General Manager or another nominated individual.

Pay scheme: Other
Salary: £25‑£28 per hr, depending on experience. Band 7, 8 and 8A.
