Do you have a passion for Urgent and Emergency Care? Are you interested in caring for both adults & children?

If so, we are currently looking to recruit a Nursing Associate to join our busy Urgent Treatment Centre at Rochdale infirmary and we'd love to hear from you!

The UTC is an innovative service that cares for approximately 60,000 patients a year and approximately a third of the service users are children.

You will work alongside our multi-skilled diverse team that consists of Advanced and Emergency Practitioners, GP's, Registered Nurses and support staff.

Role Overview

The role of the Nursing Associate is to work with the multi professional team and the Registered Nurse contributing to the ongoing assessment of patients. Providing and monitoring care in line with the service pathways and as agreed with supervising clinician(s). They will monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the multi-professional team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the multi-professional team and the Registered Nurse contributing to the ongoing assessment of patients.
  • Providing and monitoring care in line with the service pathways and as agreed with supervising clinician(s).
  • Monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the multi-professional team.
  • Work independently under the leadership of Registered Nurses, within all aspects of the nursing process.
Professional Qualities

The Nursing Associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan, providing holistic and person-centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. The Nurse Associate will help bridge the gap between Health Care Assistants and Registered Nurses by working independently under the leadership of Registered Nurses, working in the sphere of nursing and care and within all aspects of the nursing process.
