We directly deliver Mental Health, Physical Health, Pharmacy and Clinical Substance Misuse in an integrated healthcare delivery model to provide effective and responsive care to improve well‑being and support better outcomes in the future. As a Nursing Associate you will be responsible for contributing towards the health and wellbeing of patients within the prison setting. You will deliver high‑quality, personalised, safe, compassionate care in the best interest of people. Using your knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours gained within fields of nursing, you will be responsible for providing holistic care and support for people of all ages within the setting. You will be working independently, under the leadership of a registered nurse, working within the sphere of nursing. You will be required to recognise and work within the limits of your competence, and work to the nationally recognised NMC code of conduct.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION, PLEASE READ: All applicants must be willing to undertake National Security Vetting in order to work in a prison setting. This will be completed as part of the pre‑employment checks through Oxleas and the prison vetting team. You will need to provide: Proof of right to work documentation, Proof of ID (needs to include one photographic ID), Proof of address documentation. Non‑UK passport holders will need to have correct documentation (right to work in the UK) and a Home Office Share code.
