Job summary

Seashell Trust in Cheadle Hulme (Stockport) is hiring two Nursing Associates to support daily healthcare delivery, monitoring and clinical interventions for students with complex needs. The role involves building strong relationships with students, families and professionals and delivering health-related training under a registered nurse.

Applicants should hold a Nursing Associate Foundation Degree and NMC registration, with Level 2 English and Maths and experience in complex health care

Qualifications

  • Nursing Associate Foundation Degree is required.
  • Registration with the NMC as a Nursing Associate.
  • Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children, young people or adults with complex health needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles.

  • Contribute towards high-quality, person-centred healthcare and support the effective operation of the nursing service.

  • Assist with the delivery of health-related training where appropriate and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

We're looking for two experienced Nursing Associates who will support the day-to-day delivery of healthcare, health monitoring, health facilitation, health promotion and clinical interventions for students with complex needs.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
  • Nursing Associate Foundation Degree.
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Nursing Associate.
  • Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent).
Desirable
  • Additional qualifications relating to learning disabilities, special educational needs or complex healthcare.
  • Experience within a SEND school, specialist college, health or social care setting.
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Experience supporting students requiring enteral feeding, epilepsy management, respiratory care or tracheostomy care.
  • Experience supporting health promotion initiatives.
