A healthcare organization in Manchester is seeking compassionate Nursing Assistants to support patients' care in Cardiac Surgery wards. You'll assist with daily personal care and record patient observations under nurse supervision. This role offers essential care opportunities and progression via the Support Worker Development Programme. Flexible shift work is required.
Ward F6 is a 32‑bed ward and F2N is a 16‑bed ward with an additional 4 beds in a high‑care bay as part of the ERAS‑c phase 2 pathway. Both wards are Cardiac Surgery wards caring for patients undergoing routine and complex cardiac and aortic surgery. The 4‑bed ERAS bay on F2N is for fast‑track patients undergoing cardiac surgery as part of the ERAS‑c pathway phase 2, including those with arterial, central lines, noradrenaline, pacing wires and drains 8 hours after surgery.

Onjoining MFT, you will receive the Support Worker Development Programme for Nursing Assistants, which includes completion of the Care Certificate for candidates who have not completed this previously. The completion of this programme will give you the opportunity to progress into a Band 3 Nursing Assistant role.
Experienced Nursing Assistants will undertake a skills analysis at the start of employment to assess gap areas. Relevant clinical skills modules will be provided to support progression to a Band 3 post upon completion.
