Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Surgery and Elective Care Business unit on Ward 1 at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH). Ward 1 is a 30‑bed emergency trauma orthopaedic ward primarily responsible for trauma orthopaedic admissions. This busy trauma unit strives to deliver high quality, holistic care to all our patients and places a high value on the adaptability of the team in meeting the challenges that trauma brings.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, well‑motivated Nursing Assistant to join our team. You will be expected to provide high standards of care to patients accessing our services and demonstrate excellent communication skills in a flexible approach to your work.


Responsibilities


  • Assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality patient care.

  • Provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the MDT.

  • Be responsible for maintaining your own nursing care standards.

  • Assist in keeping the ward environment clean, safe and hygienic.
