A healthcare provider in Hexham is seeking Nursing Assistants to join their Surgical and Elective care unit. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Nursing Assistants within the Surgical and Elective care Business unit on Ward 3 in Hexham Hospital. We are an Orthopaedic ward predominantly caring for patients undergoing elective hip and knee replacements following the fast track protocol. Most of our patients are able to go home on the same day or following day if an overnight stay is required. At present we are providing a minor procedure clinic under local anaesthetic for day case plastic surgery and spinal injections.

The main responsibility of the role is to work alongside the multi disciplinary team to assist our patients with pre and post operative care to enable them to achieve a safe discharge home. You will be expected to provide high standard of care and also demonstrate excellent communication skills and a flexible approach. To help maintain a clean and safe ward environment. We encourage our staff to develop their skills through a variety of learning opportunities.
