Job summary

LJ Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Nursery Team Lead for a maternity cover contract in a beautiful countryside setting on the Suffolk/Essex border. The role is 38 hours per week across 4 days, 8:00am–6:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

You will lead the nursery team, provide high-quality early years care and education, support planning and observations, and ensure safeguarding and high standards. Level 3 qualification and 1 year of experience required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an early years setting.
• Able to lead and guide a nursery team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the nursery team on a day-to-day basis.
• Provide high-quality care and education for children, ensuring individual needs are met.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment for children to learn and develop.
• Support staff with planning, observations and children’s development.
• Act as a positive role model for the wider nursery team.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Ensure safeguarding and nursery policies are followed.
