Salary: £85–100 per day (depending on experience)

We’re looking for a nurturing, energetic Nursery Teaching Assistant to support an Early Years class in a lovely Barnsley primary school. You’ll join a close-knit EYFS team who believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, laughter, and learning through play.
Support the class teacher with all areas of learning and care
Help children develop independence, language, and confidence
Lead small group or one-to-one activities tailored to each child’s needs
Contribute to a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels valued
Work closely with staff and parents to celebrate achievements and milestones
Have experience in an Early Years or Nursery setting (school or private nursery)
Hold a relevant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years preferred)
Have a calm, patient nature and genuine enthusiasm for early education
Are reliable, proactive, and love getting hands-on with creative play
Weekly pay through PAYE
FREE online CPD, including SEN and safeguarding courses

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
