A leading education recruitment agency is looking for a passionate Nursery Teaching Assistant for a full-time position in Sale. Candidates should have experience in early years education and a strong understanding of the Early Years Curriculum. Job description
Overview

Axcis is excited to offer an immediate full-time opportunity for a Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream nursery school in Sale. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior experience in early years education, looking to work in a supportive, child-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Working with early years children: Supporting children aged 3–5 years in a nursery setting, helping them with their learning, development, and play.
  • Supporting a range of needs: Providing both group and individual support to ensure every child can engage fully with their activities and achieve the key developmental milestones.
  • Assisting in the delivery of activities: Working closely with the lead teacher and nursery team to facilitate early years education, including activities that develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
  • Promoting a safe, nurturing environment: Ensuring the nursery space is clean, safe, and welcoming for all children, fostering positive relationships and independence.
  • Observing and reporting progress: Helping to monitor children's progress and supporting the recording of key observations on their development.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or early years setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of Early Years Curriculum: Understanding the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and how to apply it to support children's learning and development.
  • DBS check: Must have an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one before starting the role.
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in child care or teaching assistant is desirable.
  • Calm, patient, engaging personality with a genuine passion for supporting young children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of staff, including teachers, other TAs, and parents.
