Job summary

Childbase Partnership Limited is seeking a Nursery Support Manager to provide field-based leadership across multiple nurseries in the Midlands and Home Counties. The role covers 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks a year, with varied shifts from 07:00 to 18:30, and reports to the Area Manager.

You are a qualified early years professional with EYFS expertise, able to mentor teams, safeguard children, and cover Quality Manager/Deputy Manager roles as needed.

  • DfE approved early years qualification at level 3 or above.
  • Experience of managing a large early years setting.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching early years colleagues to deliver outstanding practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example using EYFS knowledge to guide teams across nurseries.
  • Mentor and coach nursery staff to achieve outstanding outcomes for children.
  • Deliver against the corporate plan, support key projects within nurseries, and maintain community reputation.

Location: Field-based, providing managerial cover in various nurseries within an allocated cluster (primarily working within the Midlands and Home Counties). Contract: Permanent | 37.5 hours/week | 52 weeks/year. Working pattern: Varied shifts Monday-Friday between 07:00-18:30. Salary: £42,178.50-£55,419 per annum (pro-rata) plus discretionary bonus scheme. Responsible to: Area Manager.

About you

You are a qualified early years professional: You hold a DfE approved early years qualification at level 3 or above and have current (or very recent) experience of managing a large early years setting.

You are passionate about inspiring others to reach their full potential: You have experience of leading by example, using your exceptional understanding of the EYFS alongside your experience of mentoring and coaching early years colleagues to effectively guide teams across our nurseries to deliver outstanding practice that promotes the best outcomes for children's learning.

You are an advocate for safeguarding: You always ensure the well-being of children and colleagues is at the forefront of your practice, your communication and your leadership.

You are a collaborative leader: Your early years leadership experience means you can effectively cover the roles of Quality Manager, Deputy Manager and Nursery Manager on a short-medium term basis according to operational needs, and in partnership with our Area Managers and Regional Directors you will effectively deliver against our corporate plan, meet financial targets, support with key projects within specific nurseries, and maintain our reputation within the communities we are part of.
