Job summary

Little Elms Daycare Nurseries in Sydenham is seeking a skilled Nursery Room Manager. You will oversee the room, ensure high-quality care, and lead staff to support children’s development in line with EYFS.

The role involves DBS clearance, safeguarding training, and evidence of right to work in the UK. Competitive pay (£30,160–£31,200 per year) and a £1,000 welcome bonus are offered, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ experience as Nursery Room Leader or equivalent
• Level 3 or higher in Early Years childcare
• Excellent knowledge of EYFS and SEND
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to use own initiative
• Passion for children in day‑to‑day interaction

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day room operations to ensure high standards of care
• Support safeguarding and DBS checks and compliance
• Collaborate with senior staff to implement activities and learning plans

Compensation: £30,160 – £31,200 per year

Welcome Bonus: £1,000 (paid in two instalments of £500 each, subject to normal tax and NI deductions)

Qualifications

• At least 1 year’s experience in a Nursery Room Leader role or equivalent
• Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and statutory framework, and SEND
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to use your own initiative
• Passion for children shown in day‑to‑day interaction
