Qualifications

My Ohana are looking for flexible, creative and enthusiastic, Nursery Room Leader to join our team in Gloucester and we continue to enhance our already amazing practice.

Hours

Full time - 40 hours (Monday to Friday)

Salary

£25,896 to £27,165 per annum (Depending on experience and qualification)

Your role as a Nursery Room Leader will include:
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day management of their own room encouraging good practice and being a good role model.
  • To ensure regular communication and interaction with parents to update them on their child’s progress.
  • Promote positive working relationships with the parents and staff within your room.
  • Supervise children at play indoor and outdoor, and at meal times to ensure safety.
  • Supervise your team to ensure that children’s work is displayed effectively.
  • Ensure that any food served is monitored and we conform to Food Safety regulations.
  • Take responsibility and support the staff in your room in planning appropriate activities for the children, following the EYFS framework.
  • To take charge of own keyworker group and inform parents and other staff of any other relevant information.
  • Maintain children’s records inclusive of observations and their next steps. Be responsible for creating an attractive and stimulating environment.
  • In the absence of the nursery manager/deputy nursery Manager, assist with the overall running of the nursery and supervision of the team.
Requirements
  • Have experience working with children birth to 5 years
  • Must hold a minimum L3 childcare qualification
  • Ability to develop and deliver an engaging activity plan in accordance to the EYFS
  • Ability to communicate with children and parents
  • Work well within a team
  • Basic IT skills

The Nursery is open 5 days a week and provides a quality first class educational experience for children.
