Our client, a leading childcare provider in Reading, Berkshire, is seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join their dedicated team. As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their overall well‑being and development.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, promoting children’s learning and development across all areas.
  • Leading and motivating a team of early years practitioners, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high‑quality childcare.
  • Building strong relationships with children and their families, maintaining open communication and working collaboratively to support each child’s individual needs.
  • Ensuring the safety and well‑being of all children in your care, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintaining accurate records of children’s progress, development, and daily activities, sharing regular updates with parents and carers.
  • Creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes positive behaviour.
  • Continuously evaluating and reflecting on your practice, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes to enhance the quality of care provided.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working in a nursery setting, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its practical application.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to promoting their well‑being and development.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
