Qualifications

• Essential Level 3 Childcare qualification required.

• 6+ months in a senior role is desirable.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding standards.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Early Years Room Leader to become part of our warm and welcoming team at The Prima Day Nursery. Located on Capstone Road in Gillingham, Prima Montessori Nursery is situated on the Elm Court Estate, offering ample parking spaces. Rated "Good" by Ofsted (July 2022).

Salary - £28267.20 per annum working hours - 40

Your role as room leader will be to:

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate, stimulating activities in line with the EYFS.
• Support children’s physical, emotional, and social development.
• Lead and mentor your room team, promoting best practice and professional growth.
• Maintain accurate records and learning journals using EyMan.
• Ensure a strong key person approach and uphold safeguarding standards.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Childcare qualification – Essential
• 1+ year in Early Years – Essential
• 6+ months in a senior role – Desirable
• Strong EYFS and safeguarding knowledge – Essential
• Fluent in written and spoken English – Essential
