Nursery Room Leader – Full‑time, permanent role starting as soon as possible

This full‑time role begins as soon as possible and offers a permanent opportunity in a nurturing and well‑organised early years setting. Children are happy and settled, and staff provide a safe and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore and learn through play. Leaders are committed to continuous improvement and ensure that staff are well‑supported and confident in their roles. The setting promotes strong partnerships with parents and carers, contributing to children’s positive development and well‑being.

Duties as Nursery Room Leader

• Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5
• Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to individual learning plans
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well‑being
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team planning
• Maintain a clean and organised learning space
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers

Ideal Nursery Room Leader

• Holds a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
• Experience working in an early years setting
• Leadership experience is essential
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a Nursery Room Leader
• Passionate about supporting young children’s development
• Able to work 9 hours per day on a full‑time basis
