Overview

Nursery Practitioners | Preston | Full-time/Part-time, Permanent | Working hours are 8:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday | £12.46 - £13.25 per hour

Our client is a well-established and nurturing childcare provider dedicated to giving every child the very best start in life. In their brand-new, purpose-built setting, children are encouraged to explore, learn, and thrive in a safe and inspiring environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality childcare and early years education in line with the EYFS framework
  • Plan, prepare, and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where children feel loved, secure, and excited to learn
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with the nursery team to create a supportive and cohesive atmosphere focused on children's well-being and learning
  • Ensure all safeguarding procedures and health and safety regulations are consistently followed
  • Bring energy, care, and enthusiasm every day to help children thrive and enjoy their learning
Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years is essential
  • Passionate about child development, with experience (or newly qualified) in working with young children in a childcare setting
  • Excellent communicator - friendly, clear, and confident when interacting with both children and adults
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to ensuring every child's safety
  • Hold (or willing to obtain) a DBS and First Aid Certificate (DBS provided and paid for if required)
  • Fluent in English and a true team player, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues
