Job description

Oak Tree Day Nursery is a small private day nursery located on the approach to Bath Spa University. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone enthusiastic and committed to join our lovely small team as we grow our unique setting.

Applicants should have a good level of education and hold a recognised Early Years qualification.

The setting is small and cosy offering quiet & nurturing spaces for our younger children and a busier routine for our Pre‑School children. We have free flow gardens. We are fortunate to be positioned with surrounding beautiful woodland with plenty of opportunity for walks and forest school.

We seek staff who are passionate about early years education and care. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be confident in liaising with children’s families. Successful candidates will demonstrate a clear love for working with children 6 months to five years old and committed to supporting children’s early learning and development in line with the early years foundation stage.

Successful candidates will have respect and a clear understanding of our duty to safeguard children. You will be expected to adhere to the Nursery’s policies and procedures. The position is subject to a full DBS check and completion of a full induction and training.

We are open Monday to Friday between the hours of 0730-1800 we alternate shifts throughout the week.

The position is subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and completion of a full induction, all conducted by the nursery.
