About our Nursery

Busy Bees Ayr, which is registered to welcome up to seventy‑two children between two months and five years of age, makes a crucial contribution to the lives of parents and the youngest members of the local community. The nursery is situated on the grounds of Ayr Hospital, just off the A77. The nursery is sign‑posted once you enter the grounds. The building offers 5 bright playrooms each with access to its own lovely secure garden. Due to the location, there is also access to lots of wonderful woodland trails that they use regularly for outdoor learning which the children absolutely love. Free onsite parking available.

What to Expect as a Nursery Practitioner
  • Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
  • Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the Curriculum for Excellence and Realising the Ambition.
  • Key Person Role: Oversee children's development, care needs, and build strong family connections.
What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
  • Good communication, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
