Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the development and well‑being of young children in a nurturing environment. Your expertise in early childhood education and your ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere will foster each child's growth and learning. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of child development and will be committed to providing exceptional care for children ranging from infants to preschool age. You will work closely with parents and families to support their children’s developmental milestones and ensure a safe, stimulating environment. In this role, you will help to plan and organize educational activities that promote emotional, social, and cognitive development. Building strong relationships with children and encouraging them to explore, play, and learn is key to the success of our nursery program. Responsibilities
  • Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for the children in the nursery.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate age‑appropriate activities that promote development and learning.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress and development, keeping accurate records and reporting findings to supervisors and parents.
  • Create a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that nurtures children’s curiosity and learning.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
  • Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, naptimes, and personal hygiene practices.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas for program enhancement and sharing insights on child development.
Requirements
  • A relevant qualification in early years education or childcare, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Childcare.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and show flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their well‑being and development.
  • Current First Aid certification and a clear understanding of safeguarding procedures.
