Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries Ltd. is seeking an Early Years Educator to support the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children within Busy Bees.

You will contribute to a warm, nurturing environment and participate in our Bee Curious curriculum designed to foster curiosity and confidence in young learners. The role is based in Busy Bees St Matthews nursery, a Good Ofsted-rated setting near Lichfield, with strong emphasis on care, quality, value and service.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 or above in Early Years Education.
• Experience working with children under 5.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills; apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.

Responsibilities

• Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment by preparing materials and arranging rooms to support growth and learning.
• Lead Educational Activities aligned with EYFS to support physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development.
• Act as Key Person, overseeing children’s development and building strong family connections.

Busy Bees St Matthews nursery, rated "Good" by Ofsted, is a beautifully converted church that provides a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children to thrive. With a capacity of 111, our nursery is designed to give children everything they need to grow, develop, and prepare for school.The stunning architecture of St Matthews Nursery is integrated into various activities and areas for exploration, including cozy reading corners tucked behind exposed brick archways and main play areas flooded with natural light from vast windows. What to Expect as a Nursery Practitioner:

• Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
• Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Key Person Role: Oversee children’s development, care needs, and build strong family connections.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
• Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education
• Skills: Good communication capable or, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
