Job summary

Westonbirt nursery is seeking a dedicated care practitioner to support children aged 2 to preschool. The role involves assessing, planning and delivering activities, and maintaining a secure environment as part of a small team.

Hours are 40 per week year round with a salary of £13.25 per hour (£27,560 per year). Benefits include a 5% employer pension, staff discounts, complimentary lunch, and access to funded apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• Childcare qualification, NVQ Level 2 is essential.
• NVQ Level 3 would be beneficial but not essential.
• Experience of working in a nursery or childcare.
• SENCO experience would be beneficial but not essential.
• A confident communicator with both adults and children.
• A passion for delivering high-quality childcare and early education.
• A positive, hard-working, can-do attitude.

You will work as a key person within our nursery, working within a designated age group, age 2 to preschool age - dependent on experience. As part of your daily role, you will take an active part in assessment, planning and delivering age/stage appropriate activities and environment enhancements as well as working as part of a small team to provide a safe and secure environment for our youngest children.
