Job summary

Grandir UK Leighton Buzzard Day Nursery is seeking an Early Years Practitioner with Level 2 in Early Years to support caring for, engaging with, and guiding young children. You will help maintain high-quality care and education, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment.

You will join a team focused on safeguarding, teamwork, and building strong relationships with families while delivering EYFS-aligned activities and learning experiences across the nursery.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in Early Years qualification required.
• Experience caring for, supporting and engaging with young children is preferred.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery.
• Support and supervise playroom staff with day-to-day duties.
• Deploy staff to ensure standards are delivered and maintained.
• Ensure effective implementation of nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers.
• Ensure EYFS requirements are met in practice and provision.
• Provide professional feedback to parents/carers about their child.
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers.
• Develop open, positive working relationships with staff and with parents.

What Will You Be Doing

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
• Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
• Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
• Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
• Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
• Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
