Job summary

A reputable early years setting in Kenilworth is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to provide high-quality care and play-based learning. You will support children's individual needs, build strong relationships with parents, and maintain excellent hygiene and safety standards. Ideal candidates will hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification and are passionate about early childhood education. Flexible working options are offered.

Qualifications

Nursery Practitioner Kenilworth

Location: Kenilworth, CV8.
Contract: Permanent Year-Round
Hours: Ideally full‑time, Monday Friday, 08 30 (40 hours)
Salary: Up to £28,730 per year (depending on experience & qualification)

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality care and play‑based learning in line with the EYFS.
  • Fully support children s individual needs, backgrounds, and stages of development.
  • Maintain excellent hygiene, safety, and safeguarding standards at all times.
  • Contribute to planning and activities suitable for children s age and interests.
  • Keep accurate records for key children, including monthly observations, planning, and progress summaries.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Support room routines, daily organisation, and effective team collaboration.
  • Be flexible across rooms and assist with practical daily tasks (snack prep, cleaning resources, laundry, etc.).
  • Attend staff meetings, training, parents evenings, and nursery events.
  • Work closely with the Room Leader and Management Team to uphold the nursery s vision and ethos.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Represent the nursery positively within the community.
What We re Looking For
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 3 preferred; Level 2 considered).
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (The nursery covers 50% of the cost if a new DBS is needed).
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding and child development.
  • A warm, caring, and professional approach.
  • Ability to work as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and commitment to high‑quality childcare.

  • To provide high‑quality physical, emotional, social and intellectual care.
  • To support colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of the room.
  • To liaise effectively with parents/carers.
  • To uphold all safeguarding procedures and ensure every child is safe and supported.
