You will be working in a full daycare Nursery for 0-5 year olds

Job description

To be a reliable, co‑operative and flexible team member.
To work under supervision to create a calm, happy and organised environment while ensuring it is stimulating and attractive for children.
To adhere to policies and procedures at all times.
To develop excellent communication with parents/guardians, encouraging involvement in their child's development.
To maintain a high standard of health and safety in the room and nursery.
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery.
To be committed to a positive approach towards equality and diversity at all times.
To always set a good example to the children and other staff.
To ensure children's records are kept and maintained.
To provide play and learning opportunities inside and out, and to enhance, extend and support.
To help create and maintain the areas of learning and play.
To support the children's individual needs through in‑the‑moment planning and ensure the environment promotes the children's welfare, in conjunction with New Century Nursery planning procedures.
To attend training and staff meetings when required.
To ensure the safeguarding of children is paramount.
To maintain all daily/weekly records.
To help the nursery meet the EYFS statutory framework.
To familiarise self with all relevant documents and guidance, and keep up to date with current practice and procedures.
Ensure correct ratios are kept at all times.
Carry out any other duties in the nursery as specified by the Manager and supervisors.

Job Types: Full‑time, Part‑time, Temporary, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
