You will be working in a full daycare Nursery for 0-5 year olds
Job description
  • To be a reliable, co‑operative and flexible team member.
  • To work under supervision to create a calm, happy and organised environment while ensuring it is stimulating and attractive for children.
  • To adhere to policies and procedures at all times.
  • To develop excellent communication with parents/guardians, encouraging involvement in their child's development.
  • To maintain a high standard of health and safety in the room and nursery.
  • To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery.
  • To be committed to a positive approach towards equality and diversity at all times.
  • To always set a good example to the children and other staff.
  • To ensure children's records are kept and maintained.
  • To provide play and learning opportunities inside and out, and to enhance, extend and support.
  • To help create and maintain the areas of learning and play.
  • To support the children's individual needs through in‑the‑moment planning and ensure the environment promotes the children's welfare, in conjunction with New Century Nursery planning procedures.
  • To attend training and staff meetings when required.
  • To ensure the safeguarding of children is paramount.
  • To maintain all daily/weekly records.
  • To help the nursery meet the EYFS statutory framework.
  • To familiarise self with all relevant documents and guidance, and keep up to date with current practice and procedures.
  • Ensure correct ratios are kept at all times.
  • Carry out any other duties in the nursery as specified by the Manager and supervisors.

Job Types: Full‑time, Part‑time, Temporary, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
