Duties
  • Provide high-quality care for children aged 0-5 years in a nursery setting.
  • Plan and implement age‑appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, documenting their development and sharing findings with parents.
  • Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with children through play, encouragement, and support.
  • Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and social skills among children.
  • Manage your room and staff.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to engage with young children creatively.
  • Ability to drive is advantageous for potential off‑site activities or excursions.
