Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team in our Baby room. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality care in a nurturing environment. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children, ensuring they feel safe, secure, and valued.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years, fostering their emotional and social development. Create engaging and stimulating activities that promote learning through play. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all children. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Experience

A recognised qualification in childcare (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education) is essential. Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Strong understanding of child development principles and the EYFS framework. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. A caring attitude with patience and empathy towards children's needs.
