Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse who loves helping little ones learn, play, and grow?

GSL Education is delighted to be working with a wonderful School based nursery setting in Southend-on-Sea , offering a fantastic opportunity for a passionate childcare professional to join their friendly team.

This is a long-term role , with full-time hours available (8:30am-3:30pm), in a setting that truly values its staff and celebrates every milestone in a child’s early learning journey.

About the Role

As a Nursery Nurse, you’ll be part of a caring team dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5. You’ll plan engaging activities, support learning through play, and help children develop essential early skills.

Every day is different — full of laughter, curiosity, and those heart-warming “lightbulb” moments!

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Planning fun, creative, and educational activities

Building strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Ensuring a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for every child

Observing and recording children’s progress and supporting their next steps

What We’re Looking For

Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)

Experience working in a nursery or early years setting

A caring, positive, and enthusiastic attitude

Good communication and teamwork skills

An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
