Job summary

JEM Childcare Solutions in Thurnby, near Leicester, is seeking a passionate Nursery Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a busy nursery. This full-time role is 40 hours per week with a salary around £44k depending on experience.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification, have at least 4 years in the sector including 2 in management, and can lead Ofsted inspections while maintaining EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety standards.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years / Childcare qualification.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in early years, including 2 years in management or team-leading role.
• Experience leading or supporting Ofsted inspections.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety practices.
• Experience managing nursery teams, occupancy, and budgets.
• Deliver high-quality care and learning while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Lead or support Ofsted inspections.
• Manage occupancy and budgets.
• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety compliance.
• Foster relationships with children, families and staff.
