Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to join a well-established nursery group in Kensington, Greater London. The ideal candidate will have a hands‑on management style, excellent communication and team‑building skill.

Person Specification
  • Level 3 Childcare qualification or above
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Track record of involvement in Ofsted Inspections
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
  • Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Responsibilities
  • Leading by example and managing day to day nursery operations
  • Working closely with operations managers and managing KPI s
  • Building positive relationships with parents and key interfacing groups
  • Developing a staff team, managing recruitment, induction, ongoing supervisions, conducting regular staff assessments, identifying and sourcing training needs
  • Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities in line with EYFS to develop all aspects of the child's interindividual learning and development
  • Ensuring staff understand and adhere to all nursery policy and procedures
  • Managing budgets and keep accurate records of staffing, payroll, banking, petty cash, issuing invoices and fee collection
  • Managing Staff Rotas and meetings
  • Maintaining accurate records to include accident, incident, medication, registers and risk assessment
  • To ensure the nursery is running to its full capacity by effectively managing enquiries, conducting show‑rounds, operating a waiting list, as appropriate
  • To attend out of working hours activities, to include training, staff meetings, parents evenings and special events
  • Working 35 Hours per week
