Banana Moon Day Nursery Royston invites a dedicated Nursery Manager to join its brand new setting. You will lead daily operations, implement the Banana Moon Curriculum, recruit and onboard staff, and build strong relationships with families to support child development.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a solid EYFS background, with a focus on regulatory compliance and quality care.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years qualification as defined by Department for Education.
• DBS check in child workforce sector (enhanced).
• Paediatric First Aid certificate (12 hours).
• Safeguarding training and qualification.
• Minimum 2 years management experience.
• Knowledge of EYFS framework and regulatory requirements.
• Track record of achieving good/outstanding ratings.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain policies and procedures per regulatory requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day nursery operations and staff deployment.
• Embed Banana Moon Curriculum in practice.

Brand New Nursery Opening November 2026 - Looking for a new challenge?

Banana Moon Day Nursery is delighted to share the news of our brand new nursery in Royston. We are currently looking for an exceptional Nursery Manager to join our family run nursery on our exciting journey. You will be responsible for providing exceptional care and education to children, while creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the children and staff team in our brand new setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including building a positive reputation within the local area, administrative tasks and staff deployment.
• Embed the bespoke, play based, Banana Moon Curriculum
• Be responsible for leading and implementing the nursery operations, which will involve the selection and onboarding of team members.
• Build strong relationships with families, fostering open communication and supporting their child's development milestones.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all staff and children in the nursery.
  

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early years education, along with excellent leadership and management skills. You should have a thorough understanding of early years frameworks and regulations, and be passionate about providing the best possible care and education for young children. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with staff, families, the Banana Moon Franchise team, and other external stakeholders.

Requirements

• A full and relevant level 3 or above qualification as defined by the Department of Education on the Early Years Qualifications List.
• DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector
• Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate
• Safeguarding training and qualification
• Minimum of 2 years management experience
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements
• A proven history of successfully managing settings to achieve a 'good' or 'outstanding' grading.
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full time (40 hours) position, between 7.30am - 6.30pm
