About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our team and ensure the highest standards of care, education, and compliance within our nursery. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of early years education, and a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are met
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of early years professionals to deliver outstanding care and education
  • Develop and implement a high‑quality curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children, promoting a safe and inclusive environment
  • Manage nursery budgets, occupancy levels, and financial performance to support business success
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children's development and well‑being
  • Conduct regular staff training, appraisals, and performance reviews to ensure professional development
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Ofsted and other regulatory bodies
  • Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance nursery standards and practices
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (Level 5 or above preferred)
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within an early years setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage budgets, occupancy, and operational targets effectively
