A healthcare organization is seeking a Nursery Manager to lead their nursery at Southend Hospital. The role encompasses operational management, staff supervision, and ensuring compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage. Candidates should possess a Level 3 qualification in early years and demonstrate supervisory experience. Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.
We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.
Our current nursery manager is retiring and so, we are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable and experienced individual to lead our friendly and hard-working team into the next chapter.
If successful, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational provision and management of the Mid & South Essex Foundation Trust Ladybird Nursery, based at Southend Hospital.
This includes staff management, health and safety, safeguarding, effective communications and staff involvement, implementation of the Early Years Foundation stage, coordinating the team and nursery activities in order to offer a high level of childcare in a safe, stimulating and caring environment.
