Job description
Nursery Manager - Redbridge - January (or sooner)

Unity Education is seeking a Nursery Manager to join a supportive and friendly nursery based in Redbridge on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity as the nursery is expanding, with opportunities for progression available.

Key Responsibilities - Nursery Manager
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning activities, catering to the abilities of the students.
  • Develop strong partnerships with parents and other organisations that impact on children's development.
  • Manage staff in the setting and delegate jobs to them.
  • Ensure that all staff are supported in their role using supervision and coaching.
  • Ensure that staff working with children are suitable and have all safeguarding checks completed.
  • Organise parent visits to the setting before a child is registered.
  • Create a safe, nurturing and positive environment.
  • Maintain smooth daily routines, encouraging positive play and building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Deliver outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional care.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Update policies and procedures in line with OFSTED and the EYFS framework.
  • Have a good understanding of special educational needs so that children can be supported effectively.
Key Requirements - Nursery Manager
  • Hold a Level 3 in Early Years (CACHE or Equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years working in an Early Years setting.
  • Have a genuine passion for early years education and child development.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
