Job description

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and dynamic Nursery Manager to lead New Hall School's Nursery. This is an exciting professional opportunity within the largest Catholic independent boarding and day school in the UK. The successful candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the EYFS statutory framework, curriculum, assessment, and contemporary early years teaching practices. They will be an inspirational leader with the skills to motivate staff, support children’s development, and ensure the highest standards of care and education.

Role Details

Title: Nursery Manager
Reports to: Joint Head of Nursery Operations
Location: Nursery, New Hall School, Beaulieu Park, Hampshire

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the nursery setting to ensure high‑quality childcare is provided to all children.
• Support the transfer of responsibilities and staff during the transition period.
• Maintain compliance with EYFS statutory requirements and school policies.
• Motivate and develop nursery staff to deliver excellent early years education and care.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in an early‑years setting.
• BA degree in Early Years Education from a UK or overseas institution, or a Level 3 qualification in childcare and early years education such as NVQ, CACHE or BTEC.
