Nursery Manager

Dorchester, Dorset

£40,000 to £50,000 salary (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Monday to Friday / Opening Hours 7am to 6pm (shift patterns will vary)

We are looking for an experienced and qualifiedNursery Manager to join a large nursery setting based in a beautiful setting with large indoor and outdoor spaces!This Ofsted rated Good nursery caters for all age ranges, from birth through to 5-years-old, and even offers Breakfast and After School provision for Primary School age children.

The nursery iseasily accessible on road, public transport, and by foot, as it islocated a short walk from both Dorchester South and Dorchester West train stations and offers ample parking.

This is a senior leadership role where you’ll take overall responsibility for the nursery –managingyour staff, resources, and the nursery environment, supporting children’s learning and wellbeing, and building strong partnerships with families and the wider community. You’ll also play a key role in the business side of the nursery.

It’s a big role – but you won’t be on your own. You’ll have the support of our Directors, a committed leadership team, and clear policies and systems to guide you.

Requirements
  • A full and relevantlevel 3 (or above) childcare qualification
  • To be able to work a flexible rota between 7am-6pm Monday to Friday
  • At least 2-3 yearsexperience working in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledgeofsafeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
  • The ability to build strong, nurturing relationships with parents, children, and the wider community
  • A passion for childcare and child development and making a difference to the community
