St Mary’s invites applications for a Nursery Leader to oversee an EYFS room, delivering high-quality care, education and wellbeing for young children. You will lead the room team, create an engaging, inclusive learning environment and collaborate with parents and professionals to support every child’s development.

This full-time role runs year round, with the school’s phased co-educational expansion planned for September 2027 onward.

Job description

The successful candidate will lead a nursery room on a daily basis, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and wellbeing for all students within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). They will have a good understanding of Early Years Government Funding and assist with its administration.

The Nursery Leader will provide inspiring leadership for their room team, create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment, and ensure that every student is supported to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. They will be a collaborative team player who values partnership with parents, colleagues and external professionals to deliver outstanding early years provision in line with the School’s ethos and values.

This is a Full-Time role throughout the year.

St Mary’s recently announced that we would open our doors to boys in all Prep School years as well as Years 7 & 12 in September 2027. This will be a phased transition to be fully co-educational by 2031.
