Job summary

Busy Bees Horsham is seeking a Kitchen Assistant / Assistant Chef to join our early years catering team. The role offers flexible hours with options for full-time or part-time to suit you.

You will help prepare healthy, child-friendly meals and support the kitchen to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in line with our Bee Curious environment. You will work under the head chef, assist with meal prep and washing up, and contribute to planning menus that meet dietary needs for young

Qualifications

• Experience in providing meals for children with dietary requirements.
• Ability to lead and mentor in early years settings (preferred).
• Willingness to wash up and assist with housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Part cooking
• Mainly washing up and housekeeping
• Prepare healthy, nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements for children.
• Support the Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure kitchen inventory is well-maintained and assist with ordering and stock management.
• Support meal preparation and assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
