Job summary

Fennies Day Nurseries Ltd in Cheam is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our Nursery Chef in preparing balanced, nutritious meals for children in a safe, hygienic kitchen.

You’ll join a supportive team with full training, mentoring from experienced Catering Managers and opportunities to grow within the company. The role offers Monday–Friday work, free daily meals, and a positive, family‑style culture at Fennies.

Qualifications

• No nursery experience required; training provided.
• Reliable, hardworking and organised.
• Interested in kitchen or catering environment.
• Strong team player who supports others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing fresh, healthy meals and snacks for children each day.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Help with kitchen organisation, cleaning and stock rotation.
• Support the Nursery Chef with food preparation and service.
• Ensure all allergens and dietary requirements are followed carefully.
