Job summary

The Learning Experience in Greater London is seeking a Nursery Kitchen Assistant to support meal service, help with food preparation, and keep the kitchen clean and safe for children and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen assistant role is preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations, or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef during meal service by assisting with food preparation and delivering meals to the rooms.
• Wash and sanitise kitchenware, including dishes, utensils, and food preparation areas.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with nursery policies.
• Support the safe storage of food and kitchen supplies.

Role Overview

This position is essential in maintaining high standards of hygiene across the nursery and supporting the Chef with meal service. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing kitchen duties and ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for children and staff.
