Job summary

YMCA Fairthorne Group Nursery is seeking a warm, patient Early Years Practitioner to join our team in Portsmouth. You will support children’s learning through play-based activities, helping them grow in confidence and social skills within a safe, caring environment.

Experience with Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualifications is welcome, and applicants working toward qualifications will be considered. This is a full-time role in our nursery setting.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient, curious and caring demeanour for supporting early years development.
• Experience or training in early years education is preferred but not essential.
• Play-based learning approach to foster growth and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through play-based activities.
• Encourage social interaction, confidence building and problem solving.
• Collaborate with the team to create a safe, nurturing environment.
