Role Overview
Kido is a place where innovation and imagination unite to create modern Early Years settings. We’re looking for a Nursery Deputy Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our team at Kido location in South West London. We are international, operating in India, USA and the UK. All our nurseries are Ofsted rated Good and Outstanding and are based in London and Windsor. We’re still growing with 1-2 new nurseries opening each year! At Kido, we blend the best practices from the Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches and have a unique curriculum for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Responsibilities
- Lead as an ambassador for Kido values and culture
- Ensure compliance with the EYFS Framework and statutory frameworks
- Align team with company policies, leading from the front
- Uphold highest standards of child welfare and safety, handling protection concerns
- Support staffing schedules, holiday rotas and staff level requirements
- Handle administrative procedures, registrations and place allocations
- Assess and record child progress, implementing effective observation systems
- Develop personal growth, supported by Learning and Development team
- Promote a nurturing environment for children’s individual needs and diversity
Qualifications
- Relevant childcare qualification, level 3 minimum
- Experience as Room Leader, Third in Charge or current Deputy Manager in a nursery setting
- Strong leadership skills aligned with our core values – Listen, Learn and Lead
- Right to work in the UK
- Unspent convictions disclosure prior to interview, in line with Safer Recruitment
- Enhanced DBS Criminal Record check upon joining
