Nursery Deputy Manager
Job Description

The Deputy Manager is a key member of the nursery team, responsible for supporting the Manager in the day-to‑day running of the nursery. Please note this role can be 4 days per week.

The Deputy Manager will be responsible for a range of duties, including:

  • Managing the day‑to‑day operations of the nursery, including staffing, budgeting, and curriculum development
  • Supporting the Manager in the development and implementation of the nursery's policies and procedures
  • Leading and motivating the nursery staff
  • Providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children
  • Communicating with parents and guardians
  • Ensuring that the nursery meets all regulatory requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of early childhood education and development. You will also need to be a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The Deputy Manager will be a member of the senior management team and will be expected to work closely with the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.

For this role you will be required to hold a minimum of a Level 3 relevant Early Years Qualification.

This is a full‑time position, based at in the Greenwich area.
