The ideal candidate must have

• Has a passion for cooking and children.
• Has some understanding of environmental health standards.
• Shares our passion for encouraging children to eat healthily.
• Ability to use initiative.
• Has a Level 3 Qualification in Food Safety (or is willing to work towards).
• Work in co-operation and partnership with the nursery team and parents to encourage a healthy and nutritious diet.
• Ensure that budgetary requirements are met.
• Having an active role in leading the cookery club sessions with children.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals for children, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Supervise kitchen staff and manage food production processes to maintain high-quality service.
• Lead and train team members in culinary techniques and kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Collaborate with other staff to create a welcoming dining environment for children.
