Job summary

Rosedene Nurseries Ltd is seeking a dedicated Nursery Housekeeper to maintain high cleanliness, hygiene and organisation across the setting. The role supports room staff during busy periods and contributes to a safe, welcoming environment for children and families.

Key duties include laundry, cleaning, stock handling, and assisting with meals. The post requires reliable, flexible team players with a good grasp of hygiene standards in a nursery context.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a nursery, school, care or similar environment.
• Basic food hygiene awareness (training can be provided).
• Flexible, helpful attitude and a team player.
• Reliable, organised and able to work on own initiative.
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Able to work safely around children in a nursery environment.

Responsibilities

• Laundry & Washing: washing nursery laundry including bedding, cloths, towels and bibs; sorting, folding and putting away clean laundry; rinsing dishes; loading/unloading dishwasher; cleaning meal areas; sanitising highchairs, tables and chairs.
