Job summary

Family First is seeking a reliable Nursery Housekeeper for Footsteps Hawthorn in Lichfield. The role is part-time (15 hours a week) with flexible hours to suit a parent, student or school-hour worker.

You will help keep our nursery clean, safe, and welcoming for children, families and staff. You will be responsible for cleaning playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and shared spaces, supporting laundry duties and ensuring high standards daily, while following Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas
• Sweep, mop, dust, sanitize surfaces and empty bins
• Disinfect children’s bathrooms and high-touch areas
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organising nursery linen
• Assist with washing up and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Use cleaning products safely and appropriately
• Monitor cleaning stock levels and report replenishment needs
• Follow health & safety, COSHH, infection control and safeguarding procedures
• Support periodic deep cleaning tasks as required
• Work closely with the nursery team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment

The role:

As NurseryHousekeeper, you will help maintain the highest standards ofcleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery. Responsibilitiesinclude:
