Job summary

Charles Darwin Primary and Nursery, part of Inspiration Trust, is seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to support in safe, happy and stimulating care for children. You will contribute to planning and tracking progress and work within a supportive early years team.

Essential: Level 3 childcare qualification, nursery experience, understanding of EYFS, strong communication. Benefits include LGPS, health plan, cycle scheme, parking, CPD and induction programme.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Experience of working in a nursery or pre-school setting.
• Sound understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• First aid certificate and Food hygiene certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to provide high quality childcare and early learning.
• Ensure children are supervised indoors and outdoors at all times.
• Participate in planning, tracking and recording learning outcomes.
• Communicate sensitively and professionally with families and children.
